Screenwriter/Novelist Ross LaManna was recently appointed Chair of Art Center College of Design's Film Department as part of the College's restructuring and expanding of its film program, with a curriculum designed to push the boundaries of traditional filmmaking. Mr. LaManna is best known for his spec script RUSH HOUR, starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. RUSH HOUR 3 is currently in production.

Dean CundeyDean Cundey

Dean Cundey's breakthrough film was Halloween, which he shot for John Carpenter in 1978. Cundey lensed many horror flicks during subsequent years, including The Fog, The Thing and Escape From New York. His first mainstream film was Romancing the Stone in 1984.

ANDREW HARLOW is currently the Creative Director of Inferno Advertising, a boutique Ad Agency he created in 2003. Prior to Inferno, he was Sr.VP/ Creative Director at FCB, the job that moved him to Los Angles 12 years ago. In NYC, Andrew held a similar Creative Director position at DMB. Basically, he says he is Art Director.


Howard HeardHoward Heard

Narrative film editing, primarily for features and prime-time television.

A native of southern California, Howard Heard has had divergent interests in filmmaking, creative writing, and math and sciences. He graduated from UCLA with a BA in motion picture production and has been a film editor for more than thirty years, working on forty-six features, more than fifty hours of prime time episodic television, pilots, miniseries, four documentaries, and other short films and commercials. He co-edited the Emmy Award-winning episode of "St. Elsewhere" entitled, "Afterlife," and the Eddie-Award-winning MOW, "Women of Valor" for CBS.

Currently he continues editing feature films and helps friends and students develop their own projects.


Victoria HochbergVictoria Hochberg

VICTORIA HOCHBERG has directed episodes of Sex and the City, Ghost Whisperer, Kitchen Confidential, Reaper etc., as well as documentaries and music videos. She has won two Emmys (Writing: Just A Regular Kid and Directing: Jacob Have I Loved), been nominated for four Directors Guild of America Awards, winning twice.


Derrick JeffersonDerrick Jefferson

Derrick Jefferson is the Coordinator for the Film Department and Graduate Broadcast Cinema program where he researches equipment and technology, works with prospective students, and operates as a liaison between other departments on campus. He studied creative writing and literature as an undergraduate before earning his MFA in Film from Art Center. A writer who has contributed to Anthem Magazine and Fishwrap, he also maintains his very own website. He has a thing for fish tacos, Toni Morrison, tattoos, music, vintage sneakers, comic books, art, and western shirts, but not necessarily in that order.


David KelloggDavid Kellogg

David has directed films and television for over 25 years, most notably commercials and music videos. His work has produced numerous awards including an Emmy Award, Gold and Silver Lions from Cannes, an MTV Awards nomination, and a DGA Awards nomination. He directed the feature film INSPECTOR GADGET, starring Matthew Broderick and Rupert Everett. David studied at Washington University School of Fine Arts, and USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Matt LaPoint is a recording engineer, product specialist, and audio consultant in Los Angeles. As an engineer, Matt uses his classically training background as a percussionist and vocalist to specialize in mixing orchestral music for picture. Matt accommodates a broad range of music projects from MIDI based scores to big budget orchestras and everything in between. He has recorded and mixed dozens of CD releases, national TV commercials, film scores, video games, movie trailers, and prime-time television shows. He has worked on projects for Disney, ABC, CBS, A&E, MTV, IBM, Mattel, Morgan Stanley, Pandemic Studios, Sprint, Megatrax, Suave, and others.


Aaron LindquistAaron Lindquist

Aaron serves as Film Technical & Communications Coordinator for the Film Department and Graduate Broadcast Cinema Program. He brings a wide array of experiences from his years as an independent filmmaker and content producer, drawing upon his knowledge of writing, directing, editing, and multimedia production. He is a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography with a Bachelor of Arts in Still Photography (emphasis in Digital Media). His multimedia background includes work in narrative, music videos, corporate identity, and video content for web start-ups. His hobbies include writing, reading, photography and learning. His passion is telling stories.

Elizabeth Moore is a multi-talented artist and founder of Froote, a company that creates interior spaces and functional art and jewelry. Born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, Elizabeth extended her creative vision and collaboration skills into film as a Production Designer. She has created spaces for Steve Martin, Cindy Crawford, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks and Prince to name a few. She received a BFA from Minneapolis College of Art and Design and a Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.


Stephanie NashStephanie Nash

Stephanie Nash has been an acting teacher & coach in New York & Los Angeles for many years, and has also worked as a consultant to film & stage directors. She has an MFA from the Yale School of Drama (and a BA from Duke University) & has also taught at USC (Acting & Movement) & the American Academy of Performing Arts (Acting & Comedy), among other schools. Steph has taught Shakespeare (having worked with Tina Packer of Shakespeare & Company, and John Barton, co-founder of the Royal Shakespeare Company, in addition to further training at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England.)

Richard PearceRichard Pearce

Richard Pearce began his professional career in the late 1960's as a cinematographer. His credits include four Oscar-winning documentaries: Woodstock, Marjoe, Interviews with My Lai Veterans and Hearts and Minds. Pearce made his directorial debut with the period drama Heartland, which earned a Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and opened the New York Film Festival's first Showcase of American Independents. Other feature films of his include Country, which brought Jessica Lange an Academy Award nomination; The Long Walk Home (Whoopi Goldberg and Sissy Spacek); Leap of Faith (Steve Martin, Deborah Winger, and Liam Neeson). Recently Pearce returned to making documentaries, including The Road to Memphis which he directed for Martin Scorsese's series on the Blues and Food Inc. which he co-produced (with Eric Schlosser) and photographed. In 2008, Pearce was elected to the board of governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
