Aaron Sowd is a commercial illustrator and storyteller based in Los Angeles. As an eighteen-year veteran of the advertising, animation, comic and film industries, his clients include Dreamworks, Disney, Digital Domain, Lexus, Toyota, Warner Bros, Sony and Vivendi International.  Aaron’s work appears in films, television, books, magazines, comics, theme parks and video games worldwide on a regular basis.

Adept at storytelling in all its many forms, Aaron has done storyboards for Transformers, Austin Powers in Goldmember and Freddy vs. Jason; video games such as God of War, NFL Blitz and NBA Ballers; and commercials for Lexus, Sony, Toyota and the NFL Network. As a conceptual designer, he has worked on Steven Soderbergh and James Cameron’s film Solaris, as well as Human Nature and Virus.

In animation, Aaron has worked on The Simpsons motion ride for Universal Studios and designs for Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan. He has done art for Star Wars: Clone Wars, Evolution and the Titan A.E. and Anastasia style guides for Fox Animation. His comic book credits include DC Comics’ 9-11 Benefit Book, Batman, Harley Quinn, X-Men, Spawn/Witchblade and The Flash. His work has appeared in the New York Times, People, Time, Hollywood Reporter, Gear and Playstation magazines. He has been a featured speaker at Siggraph, Comic Con International and Otis College of Art and Design. His work can be seen online at www.aaronsowd.com
