Elizabeth Moore is a multi-talented artist and founder of Froote, a company that creates interior spaces and functional art. Born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, Elizabeth was always creative and artistic. Curious about the world, she moved to Europe while in her early 20s and traveled extensively. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and, moved to Los Angeles, California where she has established herself as a sought-after production designer since the mid 1980s.

Through film production set design, Elizabeth created spaces for Steve Martin, Cindy Crawford and many others. She has also created set designs that reflected the unique personalities of musical artists like Prince, Sheryl Crow, Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Nicks, Travis Tritt, George Harrison and Roy Orbison. There is some speculation that Elizabeth was the inspiration for Prince’s megahit song, “Raspberry Beret,” because while designing sets for Prince’s “Purple Rain” tour and “Around the World” tour, she often wore a “raspberry beret” and “went in through the out door.”

In addition to runnning her thriving business, Elizabeth teaches Pre-Production Visualization, Production Design, Art Direction and Visualization at the College of Art and Design in Pasadena. She also teaches Concept Development at Otis College of Art and Design. Staying in touch with the creative process and inspiring students to realize their dreams is a reflection of Elizabeth’s zest for life. While design is her life, the most important thing in the world to Elizabeth is her six-year-old son.
