Jean-Pierre Geuens studied law, film production and critical studies in Brussels, Paris, and Los Angeles and is a graduate of Brussels University, IDHEC, UCLA, and USC. As a cinematographer, he shot all kinds of films from news and public relations to features. His academic work includes a book (Film Production Theory) and many essays published in Film Quarterly, Quarterly Review of Film and Video, Film Spectator, and the LAICA Journal.
