Stephanie Nash has been an acting teacher & coach in New York & Los Angeles for many years, and has also worked as a consultant to film & stage directors.  She has an MFA from the Yale School of Drama (and a BA from Duke University) & has also taught at USC (Acting & Movement) & the American Academy of Performing Arts (Acting & Comedy), among other schools.  Steph has taught Shakespeare (having worked with Tina Packer of Shakespeare & Company, and John Barton, co-founder of the Royal Shakespeare Company, in addition to further training at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England.)

As an actress, Stephanie has performed at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Utah Shakespearean Festival, Yale Repertory Theatre, Off-Broadway, and a Broadway National Tour (of BARNUM, and yes, she can teach you to juggle.) Steph has performed her solo show, A WHITE WOMAN ON THE RED ROAD (about her Native American Vision Quest - i.e. 4 days alone on a mountain with no food or water) at various venues in Los Angeles as well as live on KPFK (FM.) In Los Angeles, Steph has played leading roles at various theatres including several at the Odyssey Theatre.

TV appearances include: Weeds, Ghost Whisperer, The Closer, NYPD Blue, Carnivale, Dragnet, Strong Medicine, Frasier, Judging Amy & Angel, to name a few, in addition to more commercials than she’ll ever admit to. 

Stephanie also teaches meditation skills and gives public talks & workshops about meditation & mindfulness practices, and has been interviewed more than a few times on KPFK as a meditation teacher.  Steph is presently writing a book based on the meditation teachings of Shinzen Young (an innovative meditation teacher, author of THE SCIENCE OF ENLIGHTENMENT, who has developed contemporary methods of using meditaiton to transcend pain, and is presently working with UCLA & other research centers on the benefits of mindfulness practice - on the brain & behavior.)

Stephanie is presently recording an interview series with Shinzen Young, and her podcast, SPIRITUALLY SPEAKING, will be up and running in 2008 and will include interviews with several leading Buddhist & other meditation & spiritual teachers.
