Steve Golin visits Distinguished Filmmakers Series


Film Department instructor David Kellogg will host a Q&A with producer Steve Golin. Among Steve's producing credits are "Babel", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", and "Being John Malkovich". He is the founder and CEO of Anonymous Content, a multimedia development, production and talent management company. While producing and developing a slate of films, he has guided the company's commercial division to become one of the top production entities in the industry representing directors such as David Fincher, Alfonso Cuaron, Wong Kar-Wei, Gore Verbinski, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Guy Richie, Marck Romanek, and Frank Budgen. In 2006, he was nominated for an Academy Award for the film "Babel".

Scott Cameron visits Art Center


Film instructor David Kellogg will host Assistant Director Scott Cameron about the working relationship between Directors and Assistant Directors.

Scott as the First Assistant Director on such notable productions as "Crash", "Mulholland Drive", "Lost Highway", "The Straight Story", "The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys", "Apt Pupil", and the TV series "Twin Peaks". Most recently, he completed "Black Water Transit", directd by Tony Kaye.

Samuel Goldwyn Jr. visits Distinguished Filmmakers Series


Samuel Goldwyn, Jr. is chairman and chief executive officer of The Samuel Goldwyn Co., which embraces feature film development, production and distribution. He is a longtime member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Honors have included an Emmy Award and several Oscar nominations.

His Hollywood career spans five decades. The son of legendary producer Samuel Goldwyn and actress Francis Howard, Samuel Goldwyn Jr. began by making documentaries while serving on the post-war staff of Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower and, for a time, under famed newsman Edward R. Murrow.

As a producer and distributor and as the head of the Samuel Goldwyn Co., Goldwyn has been associated with many of the best-loved films of recent years, including Kenneth Branagh's "Henry V" and "Much Ado About Nothing", "The Madness of King George", Ang Lee's "The Wedding Banquet", "Master and Commander", "The Squid and the Whale" and "Super Size Me".
