We have made some terrific tweaks to Dennis McCarthy’s Advanced Sound Design Workshop. His engineer and sometimes producer, the brilliant Matt LaPoint (see his bio below), will help Dennis teach hands-on, advanced sound design, recording, and post-production sound techniques in our newly-finished and -equipped recording/post-production studio across from the LAT theatre.
By encompassing this new content, the class is essential for all filmmakers. (As George Lucas famously put it, “sound is half of your movie.") It will no longer be necessary to have a film to score, although those of you shooting projects this term, or finishing up in post on previous work will definitely want to take this class.
There are a few spaces left, so if interested, let us know as soon as possible.
